It’s the same as before. You’re waiting to see what’s going to happen, you’re still training hard to get ready for the training camp. If it’s not going to happen maybe you’ll take a little break and then regroup and go again. We’ll see. It’s hard to say right now how long it’s going to take and how long we have to wait for it."<br /> <br /> <strong>Brian Little</strong><br /> "Believe me, as a player I want to play, I want the season to start on time. But this is necessary. We're just looking to get a fair deal out of it, too. At the same time, we're all itching to play so we want it just as bad as the fans."<br /> <br /> <strong>Andrew Ladd</strong><br /> "With the stance that we have and where they stand, you have to be able to push forward with this. That's one thing we feel really comfortable with: we're really unified and strong with our position. We feel that our offer is more on track than theirs. Theirs was a pretty low-ball offer to start off with and they haven't really made any concessions so far. Hopefully, we can get the ball rolling and get further along in negotiations."<br /> <br /> <strong>Nik Antropov</strong><br /> "All the players talk about it here all the time. We're keeping informed with what's going on, but we still have to focus and do our job, we have to get ready no matter what happens after Sept. 15. You still have to be in shape."<br /> <br /> <strong>Mark Scheifele</strong><br /> "I know there was a lockout a few years ago, but I wasn't a part of that like I am now. It sucks that we have to wait right now, but it's part of the game and part of the whole collective bargaining agreement discussions so you have to live with it. I trust the guys that are handling it. They obviously know what they are talking about and want the best for all the players. But you don't know what to expect right now. That's tough. It's the waiting game. But you've got to work your hardest, too, and you can't think that there's not going to be training camps or a season. You have to be ready if there is and if not, have your backup plan ready."</p> Blog:b53953e8-697c-477c-9601-9018ed5c773cPost:7f489e06-9c4c-4f98-a9ca-371bde263438 Jets players talk contract negotiations http://www.winnipegfreepress.com/opinion/blogs/walsh/Tyler_Walsh_Star_Wipes.html?plckController=Blog&plckBlogPage=BlogViewPost&UID=b53953e8-697c-477c-9601-9018ed5c773c&plckPostId=Blog%3ab53953e8-697c-477c-9601-9018ed5c773cPost%3a0381d8d5-de8d-46e9-baab-90fcf3e412a4&plckScript=blogScript&plckElementId=blogDest Wed, 12 Sep 2012 21:09:00 GMT <p> The Free Press sports department has been hard at work tracking down Jets players to get their opinions of the looming collective bargaining agreement deadline. It's quite amazing to hear a professional pitcher talk about the types of balls he throws and how he is able to control the pitch and make it look easy.</p> <p> <object data="http://c.brightcove.com/services/viewer/federated_f9?isVid=1&isUI=1&@videoPlayer=1638397223001&playerID=58616497001&playerKey=AQ~~,AAAAAFdYoqI~,XOSXSsnIVNwRuslSu-RqdTbpobEiBNy0&domain=embed&dynamicStreaming=true" height="412" id="ltVideoBrightcove" src="http://c.brightcove.com/services/viewer/federated_f9?isVid=1&isUI=1&@videoPlayer=1638397223001&playerID=58616497001&playerKey=AQ%7E%7E,AAAAAFdYoqI%7E,XOSXSsnIVNwRuslSu-RqdTbpobEiBNy0&domain=embed&dynamicStreaming=true" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="486"><param name="movie" value="http://c.brightcove.com/services/viewer/federated_f9?isVid=1&isUI=1&@videoPlayer=1638397223001&playerID=58616497001&playerKey=AQ~~,AAAAAFdYoqI~,XOSXSsnIVNwRuslSu-RqdTbpobEiBNy0&domain=embed&dynamicStreaming=true" /><param name="quality" value="best" /><param name="bgcolor" value="#ffffff" /><param name="wmode" value="transparent" /><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true" /><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always" /><param name="flashvars" value="isVid=1&isUI=1&@videoPlayer=1638397223001&playerID=58616497001&playerKey=AQ~~,AAAAAFdYoqI~,XOSXSsnIVNwRuslSu-RqdTbpobEiBNy0&domain=embed&dynamicStreaming=true" /></object></p> <p>  </p> Blog:b53953e8-697c-477c-9601-9018ed5c773cPost:1a1b6165-b91d-4b66-83ec-92bd6f011677 Jets season: 'Kroppy' said it best http://www.winnipegfreepress.com/opinion/blogs/walsh/Tyler_Walsh_Star_Wipes.html?plckController=Blog&plckBlogPage=BlogViewPost&UID=b53953e8-697c-477c-9601-9018ed5c773c&plckPostId=Blog%3ab53953e8-697c-477c-9601-9018ed5c773cPost%3acbef6f72-eb81-4f04-b191-31fd81bc4894&plckScript=blogScript&plckElementId=blogDest Mon, 09 Apr 2012 16:35:00 GMT <p> On Saturday we chatted with <a href="http://www.winnipegfreepress.com/sports/hockey/jets/jetcetera/vet-stands-on-guard-for-his-jets-141717913.html">Len Kropioski</a>, the Second World War veteran who has become a star on the big screen at MTS Centre during every rendition at O Canada. Most of the candidates made more than one trip to Winnipeg and we managed to snag four of the seven that are left vying for the position.</p> <p> We live streamed Q & As with Paul Dewar and Nathan Cullen, in which café audience members and the online community could interact. Peggy Nash and Thomas Mulcair elected for a more intimate 'taped' chat over coffee with our reporter Mary Agnes Welch.</p> <p> I've posted all four interviews below for your viewing enjoyment, and, if you're an NDP member in Manitoba, to help you make an informed decision this weekend.</p> <p>  </p> <p> <object data="http://www.youtube.com/v/iMfRUa6Sldw" height="350" id="ltVideoYouTube" src="http://www.youtube.com/v/iMfRUa6Sldw" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="450"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/iMfRUa6Sldw" /><param name="quality" value="best" /><param name="bgcolor" value="#ffffff" /><param name="wmode" value="transparent" /><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true" /><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always" /><param name="flashvars" value="playerMode=embedded" /></object></p> <p> <object data="http://www.youtube.com/v/YapgMXHucnM" height="350" id="ltVideoYouTube" src="http://www.youtube.com/v/YapgMXHucnM" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="450"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/YapgMXHucnM" /><param name="quality" value="best" /><param name="bgcolor" value="#ffffff" /><param name="wmode" value="transparent" /><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true" /><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always" /><param name="flashvars" value="playerMode=embedded" /></object></p> <p> <object data="http://www.youtube.com/v/fOQ_Jbvbunw" height="350" id="ltVideoYouTube" src="http://www.youtube.com/v/fOQ_Jbvbunw" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="450"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/fOQ_Jbvbunw" /><param name="quality" value="best" /><param name="bgcolor" value="#ffffff" /><param name="wmode" value="transparent" /><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true" /><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always" /><param name="flashvars" value="playerMode=embedded" /></object></p> <p> <object data="http://www.youtube.com/v/KJ6a_leQtag" height="350" id="ltVideoYouTube" src="http://www.youtube.com/v/KJ6a_leQtag" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="450"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/KJ6a_leQtag" /><param name="quality" value="best" /><param name="bgcolor" value="#ffffff" /><param name="wmode" value="transparent" /><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true" /><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always" /><param name="flashvars" value="playerMode=embedded" /></object></p> Blog:b53953e8-697c-477c-9601-9018ed5c773cPost:54be13cc-b5fb-4b22-b600-6e5e204b739b
